An added side mount to make this car a dual side mount. This year had a substantial bracket that wraps around underneath and needs to be lined up right, so that the spare tire locking mechanism fits and works right. Because this car had a right side spare tire in the fender, I had something to copy. First I locate everything, then make the tire well and make sure it fits the tire.

The ends on the tire well have a curved detail, and the flange where the well connects to the fender is like a double locking seam down the sides. The point is to make it look stock. So I copy whatever is on the other side. Whether it can be seen in the end or not.

The underside with the big bracket. Inside rivets, drain holes, spare tire latch, all as original. ….this was a while back. Ron Prida's car, RIP.
