If you are referring to the emblems on the lower sides toward the rear of your hood .... our pickups did not have them. If you still have rivets in the holes it is a sign of it being original. I was proud of
them in my pickup hood !

my hood has two holes both sides it is a 1947 model 178 super six it lookes like in a repaint they just never made it back to hood sure appreciate your insight just label me still looking THANKS STEVE
