looks to be wrong? see pictures the one i need looks like the pictures attached, the one you have appears to have a wide longer tail?

51 is one year only

Maybe someone here can tell me by the numbers that are cast inside the part?  there's 230645 L.H. and 25383 L.H.  
Any help appreciated.  Don't want to sell the wrong part to someone.

mickeyB, are the rockets them self the same from 51 to 52-53?
if so since ill be re chroming them anyway,i can just trim off the extended wide tail strip section. let me know as i cant find 51 style anywhere and your asking price is very reasonable. but i only want them if the rocket size shape and features are the same as 51. thanks

Have you tried Randy Jevne 307-851-2957 or Dave Jevne 307-851-4338?  They advertised in the latest WTN club magazine that they have parts for '51 - '53 "fenders, ornaments, emblems, side emblem"

there is a 51 trunk rocket on ebay currently.  person is asking $150, it appears decent, but not perfect.

thanks for the heads up , i actually just got a 51 trunk emblem that is very nice, very similar to that one, here is a current list of parts that i still need:

-2 145 or hornet interior round door emblems
- lowest rocker stainless strip driver side 
- d and p lower (painted) rear fender trim strip and retain channel 
- d and p side center door strip trim and retain channel
-headliner bows
