    You can fit just about any later generator, with a suitable regulator, up to 1955 Hudson, and incl. Chrysler, Studebaker and Packard.

    How much rewiring  is involved in changing to a different  generator that uses a regulator?   The  36 Terraplane generator uses a cutout instead of a regulator

    The only extra wirong  you will need is  from the field terminal  and armature terminal of the generator to the regulator.  The current wire from the "Bat" terminal of the cut-out goes to Bat terminal of the regulator.  That's all there is to it.
