Correct color for a 1942 Eight

What is the correct color for a 1942 Eight engine?

The engine in 42 was grey.  I used Ford engine grey on mine; it's readily available.

Ok great. That's what it is now but it is flaking off in big chunks and there is white(!) coming through beneath it.
