piston pins

Hey Guys. how do you remove the piston ring pins?  1948 super six

    carefully,   with a ring tool that expands ring  by pushing ring ends away from each other
  • the replacement ring are not compatible for a pin?

    If you are using the pinned piston the rings for it will have ends that fit around the pin.  Dale Cooper sells the correct rings.  Otto machine works also... check my website for Ottos contact.  Ken Cates
  • I bought ring already, not the pin type,do I have to remove the pins? that is my question, how to remove the pins?

    No, you cannot successfully remove the  pins.  if you did you would have a compression leak.  You can file the ends of the rings with a small round file to fit around the pins, or you can  get the correct rings.  What model engine are we talking about?
