Grease to be used for my 1941 hudson

I have read in the original 1941 Hudson manual it calls for a aluminum soap based grease for use for spots such as the water pump. My question is can you buy a product in 2019 which would be compatible or better than the original grease called for my car.

Hi I found the radiator grease quite hard to find but penrite oils in Australia sell it. They have a few retailers selling it so I found a auto shop close by and bought 2 tins. You could also use a grease used in the food manufacting industry for lube jobs

You might try a water-resistant grease.

Lubriplate 115 is a good water pump grease (or so says Lubriplate!):  https://www.lubriplate.com/Products/Grease/Multi-Purpose-Greases/100-Series/NO-115/No-115-Water-Pump-Lubricant-16-oz-Tub/   You can buy it direct, or Google it; I understand that Restoration Supply may carry it.  It's in a tub, so you will have to buy an empty grease gun and pack the Lubriplate into it.

Actually, any boat trailer wheel bearing grease might work.
