Electric fuel pump

Where is the best location to install an electric fuel pump on a Stepdown? The pump is the pusher type which I'm told needs to be below the tank as it is gravity fed.

    Is this to be your main pump or is this a booster pump to prime the carb? I put a booster pump on the rear outside frame rail, just tapped into the metal fuel line back there.

    It's going to be the main pump. I removed the mechanical pump and blocked it off. I think I will use the same location that you mentioned.

    I clamped it to the driver's side fuel tank strap and ran a ground to the chassis. This keeps it away from the heat of the exhaust. Mine electric pump is setup for priming and has a bypass with a check-valve.
