first or second?

insurance company wants to know if my car is first or second edition, its a 1928 Essex, how can i tell?
vin number??

    According to Alex Burr's General Information Handbook, 1st Series was introduced Jan. 1, 1928 and serial numbers ran from 706271 to 816864.

    2nd series was introduced June 5, 1928 and serial numbers ran from 816865 to 1070298.

    That looks like too many numbers.

    wrong number was registration # ....sorry
