Electric power steering

Over on the Studebaker forum there is an ongoing discussion on electric power steering.  Here on the Hudson forum we had some discussions over the last couple of years on this.  Some new, lower cost options are now becoming available as parts from new cars equipped with EPS are now in wrecking yards and can be fairly easily adaptable to our older vehicles. A couple of notes however - 1) you need to have a 12V system, 2) you will need to modify the shift rod to work around the motor assembly, unless you have somehow converted to a stick/floor shifter.  Here are some youtube vids and information if you want to see what it is all about:
