Distributor questions

I have an IGB 4301B distributor that was in the trunk of my 39 six when I bought it. I have found that it goes to a 35 Hudson six. Just wondering if I can use it as a spare with my 39 as it goes for the same engine from what I can tell. any help much appreciated

    Yes you can.  There may be some variation  in the degrees of advance, but as a "get you home" it will work fine.

    Thank you Geoff is there anything special I would need to do it? I was thinking of putting a set of points in it as it has none. I have the pertronix in my 39 now but if that fails along the way I would like a back up

    Would pay to check the condition of the advance springs.  A set of points and a condensor should get you going.
