What grille are you after? The alrge center one or the smaller side ones
  • small side grille, also a repair manuel (tranny sincronizes? need replaced)..

No synchronizers so far as I know, in a '39.  There are repair manuals online at the H-E-T website, but they may only be accessible if you are a member of the website.  If you're in the H-E-T you can get full privileges; as a llimited online member (free) you might have access to the library -- not sure.

For the side grille try contacting Les Pendlebury (huddy42) - he had a pair available a while back

The ones I had were for the 112 series not 118.

this is not mine and is not one of your items, but this is for sale on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  Maybe someone else will want or need it.

Offering the stock rear out of a 39 Hudson 112. I bought this car to
build a hot rod so it got a Ford 9 inch. Previous owner drove this car
through 2007 and then blew it apart for a repaint, new engine etc. I
bought the project in 2012. I am finally building the gasser this
winter. I hate to see this piece of the past rot away when someone might
be restoring an original Hudson, Essex, Terraplane, or other pre war
    antique

I have been looking for those for the last 10 years. No luck so I have decided to have something made. wont look like the original grills but something I find acceptable.
  • Here is an interesting substitute for not being able to find a '39 grill.
I believe it is a 1940-41 Buick grill.
This CC Brougham convert in France.

  • I don't remember either named.  The club member sent me some books and said the guy across the street had a '39 that he might be altering.

Hmm, not sure about that grille.  Makes it look a "Sad Sack".
