AMC Spring compressor

While at an car meet in Cocoa Florida This Saturday,I had a conversation with Dale Mixon of the First Coast AMC Club (in Florida.) He is makeing a spring compressor that is better and much cheaper than the factory version. I am told that it's inpossible to replace bushings without first removeing the springs.. which can be dangerous!. I don't have a contact address for him, but maybe going through the First Coast Club you could connect with him. It sounded like a tool that should be in your tool box if you do your own maintenance.
