Steering Gear Box leak
After completely disassembling my 36 steering gear box and cleaning and inspecting everything, I put it back together and did all the set up adjustments. Everything seemed to be going well until I filled it up with oil. Now it is leaking out of the tube the horn wire goes through. I did not notice anything wrong with it when I had it apart. The tube is swagged to the steering casting and I sealed around it when I had it apart just to be on the safe side, but it appearers to have a leak up in the tube itself.
I really don't want to tear it all apart again and was wondering if anyone has successfully repaired this on the car. I thought about sleeving the inside of the tube but I would have to remove it to do that. Can anyone think of something I could seal around the wire with where it comes out of the casting?
I thought about silicon or JB wield, but am holding off for further suggestions.
