LED headlights in pre-1940 Hudsons

I installed LED headlights in my 1937 Terraplane about 3 years ago.  I find that they don't "project" down the highway in high beam.  Also, one of the many tiny LED modules now seems to be blinking off and on, which is unfortunate.  If you have installed LED lamps in your pre-1940 car, what has your experience been?  Have you found a particular lamp that seems to work very well?

Technical information:  My car is still 6-volt, positive ground, and the lamps use the APF (American Pre-Focus) base.

I purchased my lamps from Classic Dynamo & Regulator Conversions, of England.  This is what they look like:

Here is another type of LED headlight lamp with the APF base, now on Ebay:  https://www.ebay.com/itm/165621588503
Here is what the lamp looks like:

Here is the LED lamp offered by Classic and Vintage Bulbs.com, http://www.classicandvintagebulbs.com/page6.html .  They're in Australia and also make a halogen bulb that fits the old APF bases.  I can't seem to grab an image of it. It's the 4th lamp up from the bottom, on the left side of the page (click link above).

Here's one from LEDLIGHT.com, whose URL is https://www.ledlight.com/led-headlight-6v-p15d-prefocus-52-smd-60-cp-dual-hi-lo-beam.aspx?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIjfmTjbfG_QIVhOd3Ch0ThA4IEAQYAiABEgJpjvD_BwE .  Here is a photo of it:

That's all for now.  If you have found a successful LED headlamp, please let us know more.
