Alternator mounting bracket

Does anyone have a good source for a lower alternator mounting bracket?  Application is a Delco Remy 10si on a 308.

  • Turn the generator bracket over and use a small piece of pipe spacer with a long bolt.
  • I had a custom bracket made for mine but I did use the generator Mount to modify it. If you're interested I know that it's posted somewhere in the club under alternator brackets. Instant message me and I'll send you a picture of what I built for mine along with the swing bracket

Richard, what did you use for the double water pump pulley? and thanks for the pic.

  • Turn the generator bracket over and use a small piece of pipe spacer with a long bolt.
    A perfect simple solution. Thanks

Bitburger: "Made" the water pump pulley, mainly because I wanted 5" diameter {one I had was about 5.5" and was turning too slow I thought}. Believe I still have it if interested ( it is not stock (a Chrysler I think); Do NOT use a Hudson 2 groove pulley: it is only 1/8" thick and not 3/16" as all others are; they will break in a circle around pump shaft; can show you a photo of that !!!

  • I just removed a 5 blade fan from a 1955 Hornet with A/C and it had a reinforcing disc over the fan blade.
