Essex super six
I have a 29 Essex super six and the rear engine seal is leaking. Has anyone replaced one? I'm wondering if it can be fixed without pulling the transmission? Thank you.

I'm pretty sure they are supposed to leak , but back into the oil pan.
Maybe the drain hole is plugged. I have no manual , but info may be online at the HET site.
Geoff will know when he comes back onboard.0 -
Ok, I see there is a pipe on the oil pan that runs at an angle. I will check that out. Thank you.0

Drop the sump and check the drain pipe is not blocked as suggested already and also check pipe for cracks that could be soldered up. A good first start.
Good luck.0 -
            Ok, thanks.0
