1946 Super Six Trunk Logo: Metal VS Plastic

I have seen some plastic trunk logo reproductions for sale, and on occasion I see a metal version of it.  Which one was used in 1946?  The chrome ones sure look better than the plastic ones.

    Plastic was used in 1946.  1947 is the pot metal version.  I think Eshelman is reproducing the plastic 1946 emblem
