Funny, this was finally made official as one of the 'headlining' political examples (Local Motors) heads to the auction block for liquidation.
Now that it's official, it will be really interesting to see what happens.

    I think the next big question for those wanting to do this is where the trademark lines are. What qualifies as a product requiring OEM licensing? The rules allow the builder to forego replicating emblems and other distinguishing marks, but dimensions have to be with 10% of original product. It will be interesting to see this play out, however.
