starting a 28

so i have a drivetrain motor and trans for a 28 essex. is there a way to adapt a carb and something so i don't need a spark advance adjustment lever... kinda new at this, the motor is not seized and i don't really want to mess around with original stuff...

The distributor has spark advance built in.

Do you need a carb ?
Stewart 25 carbs used on Essex for many years.

Dodge Carbs use two bolts to attach to motor, but lower unit can be used to provide parts.

Be more specific on your plans about the unit.

i would like to start it up , its just the motor that was in my 28 ,the man that restored it put in a 1972 toyota motor and 4 speed trans.   the rest is all 28 ,the motor is just sitting under a tarp on original frame that Mr Lundy deemed not good enough for his rebuild and he found a perfect frame,,, it is on frame with trans. attached
