Front stereo speaker for Stepdown

Here are some photos of what i did for my '54.  I used 2 4"x6" coax speakers.  I used the stock speaker holes in the front of the factory location, and then overlapped the center speaker mounting tabs to each other.  Yes they can move on the bottom mounting area, but they are really really stiff and I have not had any issues and they sound great.  You could make a small bracket to connect them to the factory flange if you feel the need but so far in 4 years no issues.
