Do other model year Hudson steering wheels fit on 48?

All stepdown steering wheels will fit onto your 1948 splined column. Make sure you have the correct tool for removing that wheel. It looks like a big C clamp. Later wheels use a more conventional wheel puller.

The 1948-49 Commodore series had a fancy ivory colored wheel with an oval horn button. All made of a now brittle plastic falling apart. If you need this one they are very expensive even if available. But as Lance notes any model for a step-down will fit. Some models seem much more durable.

I stumbled onto a NOS steering for my 48 Super Six coupe. This steering wheel was never installed on a car
