1946 super six steering wheel

Hi everyone,

I am restoring a 46 super six, and I have seen 2 types of steering wheels.  I am not sure what the right one is.  Some images are straight bars with a horn ring, some are curved center bars with no ring.

Which one is "right"?, or is there a right?

thanks, dan

They are both "right"  The Commodore wheel was an option on the Super series, so it is your choice.
  • The Commodore wheel has straight bars with a horn ring. Super has curved bars.
  • On a part like that there was always the possibility that the customer wanted the fancier wheel from the commodore on his super and the dealer gave him one. So if not actually correct it is not unusual for Hudson to do this.
