Suppressed and Non-suppressed Spark Plug Caps

The ROC recommends that non-suppressed plug caps are used with the 254 engine but don't explain why.
Please could someone explain why non-suppressed are better ?
Please keep it simple, I'm just a lawyer !  :D

    Very briefly, a suppressor is basically a resistor of around 10Kohms.   Resistance reduces voltage, simple as that.  Reduced voltage = less intense spark. Less intense spark = fouled plugs.  That's also why you should use wire cored h/t leads instead of carbon core.  Of course it  will pixelate all the neighborhood  T.V.'s every time you drive up the road, but by the time they have figured out what is causing it you have gone!  Oh, and if you have a radio fitted it will only work when you are not driving, but then what is worth listening  to on radio any more?  Here endeth the lesson.

    Thank you for the advice.
    It was simple enough for even me.
     I don't have a radio in the car and I'm not too keen on my next door neighbours, so non-suppressed plug caps it is.
