Does anyone have NAPA or Monroe numbers for Shocks, Front and rear for a 1937 Hudson?

Are you Online? If so measure the length closed & extended then go to the Monroe or any Shock Web Site then choose a shock in their Illustration with the same ends abd same open/closed lengths. I restored a '37 so may have the numbers saved in my notebook.

which gives the smoothest ride on pre-war cars, gas shocks or the traditional oil-filled shocks?
  • I don’t care for gas charged... I think they stiffen up the suspension and give a rougher ride.

Here are parts numbers I've collected over the years for 1937 Terraplane shocks; Hudson should be similar I think:

    FRONT
    NAPA, Monroe 2014
    K-Mart Monromatic -- 2151 (or 5121!)
    NAPA 94051 (remove steel centers)
    Gabriel 7501-B
    Delco S-207
    Monroe K 11476

    REAR
    NAPA, Monroe 1143
    NAPA 94007 (gas)
    Monroe K-149
    Delco S-100, S-115, S-121, S-186, S-123, S-150, S-182, S-183, S-190
    Gabriel 7715A, 7721B, 8002B, 8017B

Many of these numbers are probably obsolete by now, so you should check dimensions before buying!
