FYI 29 with 5 PSI Oil Pressure
Evening all,
Thought I'd pass this along.....I was starter spinning without plugs after a year sitting and seeing 5 psi oil pressure, too high. Taking off the top 1" cap of the oil pump find a broken spring with debris in the plunger cup. Looks like plunger may have been unable to rise sufficiently to allow oil into the cam and timing areas. Replacing the spring requires a spring tension with pretty close to the same to get the 3psi expected. Bit of plunger cleaning and back to 3psi.
