Marvel Carb Needle Valve for 29 Hudson

Still working on the 29 Hudson and wondering about the needle valve in the Marvel carb. This valve, of course, is supposed to shut off the fuel when the level in the bowl gets high and the float floats up. This idea sort of works some of the time, but the shut-off is not particularly good when you turn the car off. It does not always happen, but usually the fuel in the fuel pump winds up draining out in fairly short order, making it hard to start again. I have a very good shut-off valve on the bottom of the fuel pump which is OK when you put the car away. However, it is kind of a pain every time you stop anywhere enroute to shut off the gas.



My question is weather anyone has a solution, more than likely a needle valve that has some sort of modern Viton seat that really works? Would like to put that in on my car.
