Carburetor Question

I bought the car recently and then scored an "Instruction Book"..both

claim to be for '28 Hudson. I am suspicious that the carburetor and,

perhaps, engine are from another year. I uploaded the picture of the

carb from my Owner's Manual and another picture of what I actually

have to the "files" section. They seem to be 180 degrees out of

phase. Can somebody fill me in? I want to buy a new carb but also

want to know if anyone can identify the year of the actual carburetor

by its shape, orientation, etc.
