Fw: 8 volts

Hi guys,

A quick note before our well deserved two week
vacation in sunny Ca.

Tom is right on about the adjusting of the
generator for day/night or whatever driving needs, etc.  When changing to
an eight volt battery, all you need to do is adjust the generator
slightly.

When we changed the 29 to an 8 volt, the starter
spin power was increased dramatically. We have noticed a difference in every car
we've done. Rather than using every last ounce of power the 6 volt has to offer,
the 8 starts the car with less of a drain on the battery, starting it with just
a couple seconds of cranking rather than eight or ten second of harder cranking
thereby reducing stress on the battery and starter, increasing the life of both,
and the lights burn significantly brighter. We have replaced one headlamp bulb
in three years. Who knows if it was from 8 volts or a bum bulb anyway. The
batteries are exactly the right size and group for the applications. I would do
it in any car of my own and are confident to send any customer far down the road
with an 8 volt set up and feel the benefits outweigh any detriments, if any at
all. Good luck, Killer
