    Actually, I think it's an Essex Terraplane, at least the grille is.

    It's a Chevy inline four cylinder of just over 150 cubic inches, used in Chevy IIs, Vegas Monzas, and other Chevy compacts.

    The "Iron Duke" was actually a Pontiac four cylinder, that shared very few, if any, parts with the Chevy four cylinder engine. Through the years, both the Chevy four and the Pontiac four have been lumped together under the same name. The engine with this car is the Chevy version.

    It is a 1932 Essex Terraplane Deluxe ( note front fender lights )


    Appears the correct bird on the top of shell

    The head lights appear rather large and the head light rims are not HE, the Lenses appear to be   ridge shaped lenses.  The lenses look similar to 1932 Essex with the vertical crease.

    Inside is an assist strap to assist passenger side entry to rear seat. I have not seen one before.  Might have been added later.
