I am trying to locate the minimum thickness for a 10 inch flywheel on my 55, 308 engine

  • Is this a 55 flywheel and crankshaft?

    No picture!
  • Yes it is a confirmed 55, 308 crate engine with hydraulic lifters. The flywheel is an oil filled design. I talked to Wildrick on this matter. they mic-ed a flywheel that they have. There's is .428 in thickness. My flywheel is .597 in thickness.

AMC manufactured a dry clutch setup for the 308 backed by a 3 spd OD transmission. Put this into the 55 cars.
  • where do i find that flywheel?

Check with the parts vendors of HET Parts.

You can get the valves from Randy Maas. I highly recommend his modern timing chain set as well.
