In trying to revive my Splasher 6, I've discovered the oil pressure switch did not turn on the dash light. Upon disassembly it was found that the plunger was froze in its bore. I checked a spare switch same thing. What have others done to repair these switches?

    Just dismantle and clean.

How did you remove the frozen plunger? I may need to use heat.

block off the outlet, remove the cap and the bottom elbow fit a grease nipple and put your grease gun on it.

This fall I used Liquid Wrench to free a stuck (rusted) straight 8 engine after reading about it being better than others in a test trial.  Within 3 days I had the 3 problem cylinders freed up & engine turning.  So you may try it, but if nothing is working turn to heat.  I have a small propane torch I used on some stuck brake lines just this week.  Best of luck!

Heat will destroy the bakelite plug that the contact pin is embedded in.

Might try soaking in some evapo rust. Good stuff!
