1953 Hydramatic Leak

Hello, does anyone happen to know of a good way to stop a front pump gasket leak on a 1953 dual range Hydramatic? I have changed the gasket 3 times and I'm tired of pulling the trans out. I'm either going to look for another Hydramatic that hopefully does not leak or switch to a 700r4 with an expensive adapter plate. I like to keep things original but unfortunately I cannot get this Hydramatic to stop leaking. I have tried a new dry gasket and also a gasket with loctitle 515 gasket eliminator and it leaks no matter what. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the solution? Thanks
