Wanted 46ish Gas Tank (truck and car)

I need a gas tank for my 46 pickup.  But I am hoping to send a tank to a company to reproduce them.  So I’d like to get one for a car and truck so they can reproduce both (same tank different filler tube).  They don’t have to be recoverable (can have holes).  If someone has a decent truck tank that is usable... I’d like that too (for my truck).

Use the tank as a pattern - provide that to tank manufacturer

That’s what I’m planning to do.  But I don’t have one.  That photo was provided by the guy selling it with the truck.  My truck came with the wrong tank.

I have a 49 Commodore tank.  I have no idea about comparing it to a truck.

I think they are only the same up to 47.  Thanks though.

The gas tank is not a difficult fit in the frame.  I could measure mine and give you length, width, depth of mine but it looks as though many aftermarket  types would also fit unless you want original.  Street Rodder magazine has several tank advertisers and prices look reasonable
