Installing running board mats?

getting ready to install running board mats on a truck. What type of glue do you use? Any needed suggestion on the installation?

Usually you use a contact cement, coating both mating surfaces with the stuff.

Are these reproductions that you purchased from the fabricator?  In that case I would go to them to ask for their recommendations.
