1951 hudson hornet 4 door for sale.

This is a 1951 Hudson Hornet 4 door. The Model # 7A serial # 82941. All body panels have been removed and media blasted, metal worked and body repairs have been made. The car is in epoxy primer and then 2k urethane primer. It needs 1 more coat of primer and preparation for paint. The car is all original and is complete. All chrome parts not seen are packed away. The flat head H-145 six cylinder engine & automatic transmission is complete and ready for rebuild. The engine is not locked up. I also have a Chevy 350 that is available if you want to go custom hot rod vs classic. The car has 17 inch wheels from a 1999 mustang to show the hot rod potential but the suspension is original. The original door glass is cracked but can be used as a template to make new glass. The seat and interior needs complete refinishing. Some upholstery panels can be used as a template. Original color was burgundy. Car came from Nebraska and was mostly just surface rust which was removed during metal preparation. Asking $9000 because of the restoration work done so far. Matt, I don't know if you're a member of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club, but they print a nice magazine that comes out every other month, and you could advertise your car there at no charge -- if you work with an existing Club member.

In the magazine, the ad would be seen by 2500 Hudson enthusiasts, many of whom do not hang out here at the forum and would thus miss your ad. If the car sells before the next issue, no harm done, aside of a few phone inquiries from potential buyers.

The deadline for the next issue is Dec. 1, however, so if you want to consider advertising there, you should e-mail me soon, and I'll give you the "lowdown" on how to run your ad for free.

I'm at XXXdetailed@verizon.net, remove the XXX before sending!
