Join the group... I know you don't want to hear that but I have need looking for years for my 37 as well. I still drive mine periodically but getting up to 45 mph will put a wet spot on the front seat.

The 37 steering box is in HUGE demand from the Hot Rodders for Fords. They bring big money when they hit the market. That really hurts the owners of 37 Hudsons that need them for their cars.

Why do the hot rodders want a 37 Hudson steering box?

I found a bunch of stuff on the HAMB. They suggest going to the Hudson Forums and asking for the steering boxes. LOL
  • Does the Terraplane use the same steering box?

It's because of the way the go through the frame rail rather than sitting on top of it. It's a great part to use when space is a problem in a narrow hooded engine bay. Hudson and Terraplane used essentially the same design of steering box .
  • Big Sky, I have a 1937 TERRAPLANE steering box I would be willing to sell. Please send me a message! Dave from Michigan

The Hot Rod Guys around here say the Hudson Box is stronger than the Ford.

Thats because it's slightly larger and stronger than the Gemmer model used on Fords.
