Ken F  Did you get the # of the front wheel seal, and if so what is the #.
We locals have found a seal that fits the stepdowns front wheels properly. that is it will not touch the bearing but will seal on the shaft and it is a lip type seal.
The co is reproducing this seal that was in use many years back.
The part # is SKF 15649 and made in the USA.
      hope this helps.    Rudy B.
