308 engine swap
Looking for some advice on 308 motor mounts on our 46 pickup engine swap.
It fits in there pretty nice ---- except the steering arm nut is butting up against the lower casting flange of the block when we use a rubber motor mount. I know some on this forum are familiar with this swap --- wondering what others have done.
Raise with rubber mounts, lower by modifying engine plate and dog ears, alter steering gear.
Please advise-----

I'm just installing one in a '42 Super Six. I had to grind off some of the block to clear the sector shaft on the steering box. I also had to put a dent in the firewall so that the exhaust manifold would clear. I took the cups on the original 6 cyl engine mounts off the brackets (removed the brackets also) and welded them to the frame for the mounts for the 308. Have fun.0
