Anyone know off the top of their head the head bolt torque for an aluminum head on a 308?

If I remember right, the book says 65-70 ftlbs., but I know some have gone up to 90 lbs. to try and eliminate leaks.  I wouldn't recommend 90 with 7/16" bolts, though.  Have you done a search on this forum?  This topic has been discussed before.

Yes, depends on whether 1/2" or 7/16".   And alloy heads must only be tightened cold, not hot.

    FYI
I suggest using BEST Company Permbond gasket especially for Aluminum Heads. I retorque after a few heat/cold cycles but never over 75-80# and before hard use on the motor..
