1932 VIN Number

I have a 1932 Hudson Essex and it was built in Canada based on the plate. It shows the car number starting with a C-XXXXX, has anyone seen this before and could anyone confirm that the Canadian cars built started as such.

    Yes, have seen several.  Seems quite a few Canadian built Hudsons  immigrated into
    Michigan.
