A couple of small but important changes to the forum "engine"

The forum has now been moved to a more secure connection so now all access to it will be via https. Any saved links you have to the old address will now resolve to the https connection.

You should see in your browser a little green padlock appear to the left of the web address which shows that the connection is secured (it may also say "Secure" or "Secured" as well).

The underlying version of PHP (see here for more explanation of that if you wish : http://php.net/manual/en/intro-whatis.php) has also been upgraded to version 7.1.

I have tested on as many browsers as I have on my machine (FireFox , Opera , Chrome , IE11 and Edge) and have encountered no problems however should anyone spot any "funnies" at all please feel free to drop me a note at webmaster@hetclub.org or post a response in here.

The main club site will also shortly move to https and PHP 7.1 however a couple of the add-ons in there are awaiting updates so watch that space for more news.

This is needed because we need to make sure that we position our web presence in as secure a platform as we can to make sure that any data we have is kept as safe as possible
