Forum software updated to Vanilla 2.3

As part of the ongoing process to keep things up to date the underlying software that runs this forum has been updated to the latest version (2.3) released in November 2016. In keeping with the policy of not intentionally breaking things I installed the update in the test version of this site and have done the usual confidence tests with it alongside Rick Clark and Jon Battle. We didn't find anything different and I hope therefore that you don't! However if , when using the forum, you come across a difficulty that you hadn't encountered before please feel free to drop me a note at HETwebmaster@hetclub.org (drop the HET) or post a comment in here.

    One thing I have noticed is that if you don't have a profile picture loaded you know see thathappy little smiling face in its place. If you're happy with it then leave it, if not then use the "Update Profile" feature to add a picture
