12V Conversion/Hudson Commodore 8

Please help an amateur restorer...... Is there any basic written guidance for Hudson 12V conversion? Or any advice/helpful hints to follow? Specific questions: should the alternator be a 3-wire configuration-including a diode connected to switched 12V? Is a Vintage Auto Garage supplier, Electronic Ignition Kit with coil recommended? I read the 'Open Forum' note about the push-starter switch reconfiguration, which is very helpful.

Any help, advice, guidance is greatly appreciated !!!

Have you googled "12V conversion" ?   Tons of info out there and its the same for all cars and trucks.
