    I placed a heavy bid on the cap and did not meet reserve. With the $25 shipping charge they seem to be the highest priced cap I have seen. I do agree that they seldom come up for bid and that if you need one, then the price is not that bad. If you restore the cap after you buy it, then this is one big expendature.
  • This is my bugatti 38... imported in New zealand in the 40's and owned by Rex Carr and Graham Wells. 
    I'm looking for the ornament and it looks to be the Hubcap of an Essex? Maybe some one on the forum knows more or can help me wit the ornament?

    Definitely not an Essex cap.

    was this  about a hub cap, for a wheel, or a radiator cap?
