Selling the 6 cylinder engine and transmission out of my 1940 Hudson deluxe series 40p. I honestly have no idea if it starts. Its original, oil looks good. 3-speed. The only numbers I can find on the engine are 10 6...power dome ratio 7 to 1. HUDSON located in mustang Oklahoma. $1000

Here are a couple questions or comments:

    1. Can you give more info?  Is it a 3-speed or 3-speed with overdrive?  Do you know if that's the 212 cid engine or the 175?  (What are the markings on the head?)  Does it come with all the components like gen., starter, carb, etc.?

    2. Where are you located?

    3. If it doesn't sell right away, consider listing it in the Club magazine where it will have greater coverage.  No charge, if you get a Club member to help you list it as a "lead".  The deadline for ads was June 1, and you might be able to get it listed if you send it in now.  Otherwise, the next deadline is in two months.
  • Im very new to this... what is the magazine?

That's the White Triangle News, the magazine of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club,   which sponsors this forum.  http://www.hetclub.org/
