    John - bookmark this address- I have placed many information sources for Stepdowns there.  The OD wiring is under Transmissions

    John, I ran my 54 Jet overdrive with a single wire and toggle switch. Live wire from ignition with an inline fuse to toggle. Wire from toggle to overdrive.   Dave Sollon told me how to do it at the time.
    Worked great.  Didn't use relay or kick down switch. Just flip the toggle and let up on the gas for o/d, Flip switch off and it drops down out of o/d.Workrd great, never had any problems.  Ed
