Door won't Open

One of my rear doors will not open, though it was fine last week.  Buttons/handles do not do anything, is there any way to get door panel off a closed door?  or any other suggestions?

What year?  Is the lock button functioning?

54.  the lock (Inside) button moves but hardly - which isn't saying much because none of the doors have much up/down travel on the button.  The outside handle button does not seem to depress much either..

Try pushing in on the door at the latch area to see if that will release the mechanisms. Roll the window down so that you can work the door handles and lock button while pushing in.

You will find the striker teeth worn out.  This causes point-to point lock up with the gear wheel.  You will need to either build the worn teeth up or replace.

Geoff C - is there any way to get to this from the outside with door close, push with a coathanger for example to roll it?

Push from the outside.

Not sure on the senior models.  On the Jet you can lever the escutcheon off and push the lever down with a screwdriver.

Got it!  push/pull and some liquid wrench squirt down the inside knob.
