1939 grille plates

All, I have my car at Doc Doug's place and he was telling me that grille plates from a 39 Buick can be cut to fit. Don't know if they are any easier to find. Does anyone know if Pontiac or Chevy of the same year can be modified to fit the Hudson?

Somebody cut a pair out of aluminum with a laser.  Can't remember where I saw it but must have been on the forum someplace.

The originals are made of unobtainium, as Geoff says.  I sold my last pair to a guy in TX
