Two door- Conv-sedan door seals and braces
In 1972 while trying to resurrect a 49 Commodore 8 Convert. I noticed that the door to front fender seal was different than a door I got from a 51 Commodore convertible. I have attached pictures showing the my present day 49 convertible seal attached to the front fender. . Then I noticed the seal is the "s" type (attached to the door) on my 49 Two Door sedan. Maybe they just switched sometime during 49 production .Just another mystery.
I also included a picture of the extra brace at the top hinge found on both the convertible and two door sedan, Ken mentioned this in a previous post. This one is on my 49 two door sedan and appears on the convertible as well..
